On November 2014 I was invited to participate in a contest hosted by Atlantic University College in which the participants had the task to create the new image of the KFC Snack Box. The KFC Snack Box is a product primarily aimed at teenagers and young adults, therefore I was inspired by youth’s modern culture to create the design. I used a variety of elements that represent today’s youth such as: Graffiti, “Emojis and Icons related to the most popular social networks.
I was nominated as one of the contest’s winners and my design has been used in many KFC’s stores in Puerto Rico.
Early sketches and explorations.
I designed most of the elements using a graphics tablet. By doing that, I was able to achieve that sketch-like style.
Unused variations.
Part of the contest was to design a simple promotional poster.
